About Me
Hi, I’m Christa! I am a Veteran and the founder of Sacred Trail Counseling. I have always believed healing is both a journey and a relationship; one that unfolds gently, step by step, as we learn to listen to ourselves again.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2015 from Texas A&M University-Commerce. In 2018, I stepped away from my career in community-based non-profit, working with Veterans, and Equine Assisted Therapies to pursue a lifestyle change in Colorado. Living in the mountains has been full of challenging, fun, and quiet lessons that are continuing to shape how I show up in my work and life.
I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Colorado. I am currently under supervision while pursuing my LCSW. Supervision and Continued Education are so important to deepening my practice and providing multi-modality, holistic, and evidenced based interventions. I am newly trained EMDR and working to advanced certifications.
At scared Trail Counseling, I offer an integrated and compassionate approach for individuals seeking healing from trauma, stress, and life transitions. My practice centers on helping clients find safety in their bodies, clarity in their emotions, positive coping skills, and a renewed sense of connection, both to themselves and to their community
